RICHARDSON, TX. – Western New Mexico's
Samuel Ketcham (Goodyear, AZ/Canyon View High School) has been named to the 2025 Lone Star Conference Cross Country All-Academic Team, the league office announced Thursday November 6th.
The honor recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both on the course and in the classroom, with Ketcham representing the Mustangs among the conference's top academic performers. Ketcham, a junior from Goodyear, Arizona, is majoring in accounting and has distinguished himself through his commitment to academic and athletic excellence. He becomes one of only five men's runners across the conference to earn the 2025 All-Academic distinction.
This marks Ketcham's first career All-Academic honor from the LSC, underscoring his dedication to balancing rigorous academic work with the demands of collegiate competition.
Leading this year's All-Academic selections are the Lone Star Conference Academic Runners of the Year — Julie Lafare of West Texas A&M and Arlo Gonzales of St. Edward's.
