Glen Rose, TX – The Western New Mexico University Women's Golf concluded their time at the Lone Star Conference Championships, at Squaw Valley - Apache Links Course in Glen Rose, TX. The Mustangs placed 14th out of 16 teams with a final score of 948 (310-320-318) and shot +84 to par.
Shandiin Harper (Farmington, NM/Piedra Vista HS) and Chelsea Medina (Silver City, NM/Silver HS) led the pack in T-53rd with a final score of 234 (77-82-75)and 234 (78-77-79) shooting +18 to par.
Taysea Powell (Artesia, NM/Artesia HS) finished in T-59th finishing +21 to par and a total score of 237 (78-77-82). Ana Valeria Enriquez (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) shot 245 (77-85-83) throughout all three rounds shooting +29 to par and ranking in T-70th. Amanda Portillo (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) shot 246 (80-84-82) giving her +30 to par and finishing 72nd.
Taking first place was Dallas Baptist with a score of 834 and shooting -30 to par. Taking second place is West Texas A&M shooting 855 and -9 to par. In third, with a score of 864 and shooting even to par.
DBU's Jordan Karrh took first place shooting -8 to par and a score of 208. In second place, Arkansas-Fort Smith's Sidney Stramel and Alyssa Campbell from West Texas A&M shot -7 to par with a final score of 209.
The Mustangs conclude their 2022 season and look forward to getting ready to compete next Fall 2022.
