WOMEN'S RESULTS
Mesa, Ariz. – The Western New Mexico University Men's and Women's track team competed at the Distance in the Dark/ Cody McBride invitational, hosted by Paradise Valley Community College.
For the women,
Maggie Orr (Gilbert, AZ/Gilbert HS) ran in the 5000 meter dash and ended up placing 3
rd with a time of 19:53.93. Orr was in 1
st place six times out of the 13 times the women lapped the course.
The top two placers for the women's race were from the two hosts, Paradise Valley and Mesa Community College. Lacey Fron finished in 1
st place and had a time of 19:09.43 followed by Anna Harmon placing 2
nd who finished with a time of 19:27.91.
As for the men, the entire team competed in the 1500 meter run.
Aaron Perez (El Paso. TX/Eastwood High School) finished in 4
th place with a time of 4:00.12. Placing in 10
th place, Mustang
Cody Hepker (Albuquerque, NM/Sandia HS) finished with a time of 4:05.91.
Joshua Lara (Albuquerque, NM/Atrisco Heritage Academy HS) had a time of 4:10.29 and placed in 12
th.
Ahren Thorson () was next for the Mustangs earning 15
th place with a time of 4:13.43. Coming in 18
th place
Dylan Walker (El Paso. TX/Burges High School) ended the run with a time of 4:15.67.
Central Arizona's Raphael Kitur finished in first place for the men's race with a time of 3:56.64. Conner Dosmann from Trinidad State finished in 2
nd with a time of 3:57.75.
The Mustangs Men's and Women's teams will compete in the Paradise Valley Community College, Distance in the Dark, again to finish the invitational on March 26
th.
