ALBUQUERQUE, NM –  Monday, Western New Mexico University Women's Golf team played the first rounds of the Nick Turner Invitational at Arroyo del Oso Golf Club. The Mustangs are in 11th place after round one.

Shandiin Harper (Farmington, NM/Piedra Vista HS) is T-14th at (+3), as she shot a 75. Taysea Powell (Artesia, NM/Artesia HS) and Chelsea Medina (Silver City, NM/Silver HS) are both T-41st carding a 79

Mia Trousdale (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) is T-49th as hse ended the round with an 80. Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) is one stroke behind and T-52nd. 

Cal State San Marcos leads at (+5). In tied in second are Cal State East Bay and St. Mary's (TX) at (+10). 

The Mustangs will conclude the Nick Turner Invitational, teeing off at 8:30 am MDT
