Women's Tennis Adds Arnautu as the Final Recruit

Silver City, NM - Head Women's Tennis Coach Alex Hunt has gained yet another recruit for the Class of 21'. The native of Laval, Quebec, Canada, Andreea Arnautu, will be welcomed to Silver City, as a freshman in the Fall of 2021.

"Andreea brings a ton of excitement to this women's tennis team. She plays at a very high level, packing a punch behind her very powerful groundstrokes and serves," said Hunt. "Andreea also performs very well in the classroom having a stellar GPA out of her secondary school up in Canada."

Arnautu has made quite a presence of herself within the tennis community. She was ranked 38 for the highest U18 Quebec, ranked 159 for the highest U18 Canadian, and an overall universal rating of 7.02. Other of Arnautu's accomplishments include placing first at two provincial tournaments U18 (Toronto & Burlington), placing first at St-Eustache regional U16 tournament, placing second at St-Eustache regional U16 tournament, and placing second at Ottawa provincial U16 tournament.

"I am pumped to see her become a leader on this campus while utilizing her academic and athletic talents I have said it before, and I will say it again, the new era of Mustang Tennis has arrived. Now it is time to get to work!" said Hunt.
