Silver City, NM - Western New Mexico University's Women's Cross Country Team and Head Coach Macario Campos is excited to announce the signing of Gracey Lovato. Lovato will join the Mustangs in the Fall of 2022.

"Gracey will be a great addition to our Women's Team," said Campos. " I have had a few opportunities to see her  race this season and she runs tough."

Native of Rio Rancho, NM, Lovato will look to be a fierce competitor like her sister Britney, who is currently on the WNMU women's Cross Country Team. 

During her time at Rio Rancho High School, Lovato finished 8th place at 5A State Championship and was 3rd place at the district race. She has a personal record of 19:20 in a 5K.

Maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout high school, Lovato will be going into the school of nursing at WNMU.

"I am excited to have her wear the Mustangs purple and gold," said Campos.
