Women's Golf Concludes Their Fall Season at the Nick Turner Invitational

Albuquerque, NM –  Teeing up in the Nick Turner Invitational, at Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course, hosted by Fort Lewis College, the Western New Mexico University Women's Golf placed 12th  with a total score of 647 throughout the two rounds. 
Jr. Amanda Portillo (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS), played an even two rounds carding 77 on both days for a total of 154. Portillo was ranked T-25 at the end of the tournament. Behind her by a few shots is Shandiin Harper (Farmington, NM/Piedra Vista HS) ended T-54 with scores of (83-81) and 164 throughout the days. 

Ana Valeria Enriquez (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) totaled (84-81) for a score of 165 ranking her T-57. Taysea Powell (Artesia, NM/Artesia HS) was also tied for T-57 with a score of (83-82) at Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course. Chelsea medina carded (85-81) summing the two days to 166, which places her as T-61 at the end of the Nick Turner. 

Beatrice Perucchini of Midwestern State topped the tournament carding 71 on both days (-2) giving her an ending number of 142. Jumping up five ranks into second place, was Texas A&M University's very own Yluliana Yapur scoring (73-71) for a score of 144. Brady Turnquist from Biola University shot (71-74) totaling 145 throughout the two days. 

Arkansas Fort Smith placed in first throughout the two day landing 596 as their total. Colorado CO Springs was close behind in second carding 598 with (+22) throughout the tournament. Midwestern State University held the third place title with a total of 602. 

The Nick Turner Invitational puts an end to the team's fall season but will be practicing to show up at the RJGA (The Cactus Thaw) in El Paso, TX on February 7th-8th.
