Beam Helps Team USA to First Place Finish, 16th Individually at Pan American Cross Country Championships

VICTORIA, B.C, CANADA – Western New Mexico Freshman Daniel Beam (Rio Rancho, NM/Rio Rancho HS) got the opportunity to compete in the Pan American Cross Country Championships over the weekend, as a member of Team USA.

The Rio Rancho local, made the trip to Victoria, B.C. Canada to compete in U20 Men's Division. In a very treacherous 8,000 kilometer course, Beam posted a time of 29:03 to finish 16^th overall, and helped his team to a first place finish.

In his freshman campaign with the Mustangs, Beam ran in the top half of the team's lineup and posted a 11^th place finish to garner All-Conference Honors as a true freshman.
