Fraboulet and Barr Garner All-Academic Award

RICHARDSON, Texas –Midwestern State's Greta Lazzarotto and UT Permian Basin's Raul Stevens were named Women's and Men's Academic Players of the Year again, respectively, to highlight the Lone Star Conference tennis academic awards announced Thursday by league officials.
Lazzarotto, who claimed top honors for the third consecutive year, and Stevens, who was distinguished for the second straight year, earned Academic Player of the Year acclaim for their success on the court and in the classroom.
Lazzarotto led the women's team that also included Angelo State's Zoe Gubbels; Cameron's Melany Opolz and Sarah Frendo; Tarleton State's Neetika Sud; and Texas A&M-Kingsville's Julia Rau

Joining Stevens on the men's squad was CU's Przemyslaw Zielinski; MSU's Dillon Pineda; and Western New Mexico's Liam Fraboulet (France, Plouha/Lycée Kerraoul) and Niko Barr (Whakatane, New Zealand/Trident).
Lazzarotto is a three-time selection, while Rauer, Stevens and Fraboulet were repeat honorees.
To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.30 grade point average and have reached sophomore status both athletically and academically. The Academic Player of Year award and All-Academic Team are selected from the list of academically qualified players, with the league's sports information directors voting on the basis of both academic and athletic achievement.
