RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Cal Baptist recently moved up from No. 14 to No. 7 in this week's latest poll and looked like one of the top teams in the nation as they tallied over 40 points in both halves on their way to taking the 85-50 victory over the Western New Mexico University men's basketball team Tuesday night.

Junior Haneef Vaughn-Wilson (Philadelphia, PA/Constitution) collected his fourth double-figure scoring game of the season as he went for 14 points on 7-17 shooting. Trailing by 20 with eight minutes to go in the half, the Mustangs put together an 8-2 run with Vaughn-Wilson accounting for all eight points for WNMU to help bring the deficit back to 14.

Backed by another run, this one a 7-0 variety jumped the lead back into the 20's as the Lancers held a 42-18 lead at the break.

An early hoop by Vaughn-Wilson to start the second half helped keep the lead at 24 for CBU before they continued with the pressure pushing the lead into the 30's on their way to claiming the win as they outscored WNMU 43-32 in the second stanza.
