Tiffany Newell (Las Vegas, NV/Silverado ) and junior
Jean-Laurent Pageault (Perrigny, France/Academi des Hauts de Nimes) were each named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Players of the Week Thursday.
Tiffany Newell (Las Vegas, NV/Silverado ) played a strong week as she went a perfect 3-0 in both singles and doubles play. She won all of her singles matches at No. 3. Against MSU Denver, she claimed a 6-4, 7-6 win, added a victory over Tarleton State, 6-4, 7-6 and then closed the week with a 6-3, 6-3 win versus CSU-Pueblo. In doubles with teammate
Claudia Osuna (Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico/Tec Milenio ) at No. 3 they began the week with an 8-0 win over MSU Denver. Versus Tarleton State they added an 8-4 win and then to finish the week they tallied a 9-7 win against CSU-Pueblo.
Pageault went a perfect 2-0 in both singles and doubles play to open conference action. He won both singles matches at the top flight claiming a three-set win against MSU Denver and straight set win over CSU-Pueblo. In doubles with teammate
Liam Fraboulet (Lycee Kerraoul, Paimpol, France) at No. 2 they won 8-6 versus MSU Denver and 8-4 against CSU-Pueblo.
It's the second time this season both Newell and Pageault have been named the RMAC Players of the Week.
