Mustangs take the court in the afternoon to face off against Colorado Mesa University
The Mustangs teamed up to start the game with doubles, with
David Guta (Bucharest, Romania/Liceul Teoretic C.A. Rosetti (Romania)) and
Benjamin Vriends (Mierlo, Netherlands/Sint Joriscollege) finishing the game first securing a win with a 6-0 win.
Yannik Rogulski (Madunice, Slovakia/Archbishop's High School of Bishop P. Jantausch) and
Christopher Lund-Kuhl (Vaerloese, Denmark/Kruses Gymnasium) finished their match second securing the match with a 6-2 win. The last pair to take the court was
Mael Houee (Rennes, France/Lycee Saint Martin (France)) and
Jack Semper (Hackney, London, UK/Stoke Newington School) who put up a hard-fought battle but fell 4-6. The doubles concluded with the Mustangs securing their first victory.
The Mustangs kept the momentum in the singles rounds with Guta securing the first win with a 6-1, 6-4 win. Semper continued this momentum by securing the second round with a 6-3, 6-3 win. Mael was the third to conclude his game, but after a hard-fought battle fell 4-6, 2-6. Rogulski was fourth to finish, but after going 2 rounds fell 6-4, 7-5. Lund-Kuhl was able to pick up the game, finishing the game fifth with a 6-3, 7-5 victory. The last Mustang to take the field was Vriends whose game was ultimately left unfinished after going for 2 rounds.
This concluded the second day of the Mustang's 2-day visit to Arizona with a 4-2 win.
