Men's Tennis Take Double Header With 4-2 and 4-3 wins

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Dallas, TX - The Mustangs Men's tennis team concludes their double header match up against Southeastern Oklahoma State University in the morning and Delta State University in the afternoon, claiming victory on both fronts with 4-2 and 4-3 victories

Mustangs started the morning with their battle against Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

The Mustangs started the momentum early in the doubles match up where Mael Houee (Rennes, France/Lycee Saint Martin (France)) and Jack Semper (Hackney, London, UK/Stoke Newington School) took the court first to claim victory with a 6-1, David Guta (Bucharest, Romania/Liceul Teoretic C.A. Rosetti (Romania)) and Benjamin Vriends (Mierlo, Netherlands/Sint Joriscollege) continued this momentum and claimed the second victory with a 6-4. The third match saw Christopher Lund-Kuhl (Vaerloese, Denmark/Kruses Gymnasium) and Djamel-Dine Bey (Paris, France/National Centre for Distance Education (Online)) fall 2-6. The match concluded with the Mustangs claiming victory in the doubles.

The singles then started with Houee taking the court first with and finishing with a 6-4, 4-4, and claiming the first point. Semper took the court second but fell 3-6, 2-6. Vriends were third to take the court going for 3 rounds with 6-3, 5-7, and 2-1, but the match was considered unfinished. Lund-Kuhl took the court fourth, and after a tough battle fell 7-6, 6-2. Guta was fifth and was able to get the third point for the mustangs with a 4-5, 6-3 victory. The match was concluded by Bey who fought a hard battle going into the tiebreaker, and finally securing victory for the Mustangs with 3-6, 6-4, and 6-0.

This concluded the morning with a decisive victory for the Mustangs with a final score of 4-2.

The afternoon saw the Mustangs continue the momentum against Delta State University.

The game started with Houee and Semper taking the court in a double pairing to win 6-1. The second round saw the same enthusiasm from Gute and Vriends as they claimed the second point with 6-3 victory.

In the singles matchups, the first to take was again Houee where he secured victory with a 7-5, 6-2. Semper was second to take the court, but he eventually fell 4-6, 1-6. Lund-Kuhl took the court third, but his fight ended with 3-6, 0-6. Vriends took the court fourth and were able to turn the tide by securing the third point for the Mustangs with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Guta took the court fifth, and after a difficult matchup fell 2-6, 2-6. The final battle was with Bey, where he was able to secure the winning fourth point in a 6-3, 6-3 victory, securing the second win of the day for the Mustangs.

The afternoon concluded with a 4-3 victory, and the Mustangs taking the win for the double header at Dallas.
