Box Score Flagstaff, AZ. – Men's Tennis dropped 2
nd part of road duel to Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, falling 0-7 on Friday afternoon. The Mustangs completed both duels in their visit against challenging opponent on their trip to Flagstaff, AZ against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at the NAU Tennis Center.
The second round of the Men's Tennis visit against NAU concluded as the Mustangs completed their visit to Flagstaff, AZ.
The Mustangs finished the afternoon with a double pairing of
Djamel-Dine Bey (Paris, France/National Centre for Distance Education (Online)) and
Christopher Lund-Kuhl (Vaerloese, Denmark/Kruses Gymnasium) securing a 6–3 victory to close out play.
The single matches started with
Yannik Rogulski (Madunice, Slovakia/Archbishop's High School of Bishop P. Jantausch) starting the fight but eventually fell 2-6, 1-6. The second match had
Mael Houee (Rennes, France/Lycee Saint Martin (France)) taking the court but falling 1-6, 4-6. The third match began with
Benjamin Vriends (Mierlo, Netherlands/Sint Joriscollege) but concluded with a 0-6, 6-2 fall.
Jack Semper's (Hackney, London, UK/Stoke Newington School) fourth match concluded with a 1-6, 2-6 fall. Lund-Kuhl was fifth on the court, but concluded the match with 4-6, 3-6. The fifth match had Bey put up a tough fight with a 4-6, 1-6 leading to a third tie-breaker round, which eventually saw him fall 5-7.
The Mustangs teamed up for doubles with Houee and Rogulski going first but eventually falling 5-7. Semper and Vriends were the second duo to take the court but fell 3-6. The final pair on the court, Bey and Lund-Kuhl, who after a hard fight secured a Mustangs win with a 6-3.
