Dallas, Texas - The Western New Mexico University Women's Tennis team continued its 2025 Spring Season by traveling to Dallas, Texas. Their match-up against Dallas Baptist University ended in a score of 0-4.

In doubles, the first pairing of
Andreea Arnautu (Laval, Quebec, Canada/College Laval) and
Emma Lootens-Stael (Diksmuide, Belgium/French Touch Academy) lost to I. Arana Rios and M. Smelley, 2-6.
Caini Wang (New Taipei City, Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Nangang Vocational High School) and
Ana Sofia Montero Villegas (Caracas, Venezuela/Colegio San Martin de Porres) took the number two slot for doubles and were beaten by E. Buchanan and J. Payne, 2-6. For the final doubles pairing,
Gabriella Blumberg (Casper, WY/Kelly Walsh High School) and
Jenna Kastell (Bonn, Germany/TC Rot-Weiß Troisdorf) had an unfinished match against I. Quintero and A. Delgado, 5-5.
For singles, playing No. 1 today was
Andreea Arnautu (Laval, Quebec, Canada/College Laval) had an unfinished match against K. Robinson, 1-6 and 4-5. Penciled in at No. 2 was
Ana Sofia Montero Villegas (Caracas, Venezuela/Colegio San Martin de Porres), before having another unfinished match against M. Smelley, 5-6 and 5-5.
Caini Wang (New Taipei City, Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Nangang Vocational High School) played No. 3 for the Mustangs today, as she was not able to win her match against L. Schondelmaier, 4-6 and 1-6.
Gabriella Blumberg (Casper, WY/Kelly Walsh High School) was slotted for No. 4 today, taking I. Arana Rios to a two-set unfinished match, 2-6 and 2-6. No. 5,
Jenna Kastell (Bonn, Germany/TC Rot-Weiß Troisdorf) rounded out today's lineup with a match against E. Buchanan with a loss of 4-6 and 3-6. In the final spot penciled at No. 6,
Lucia Carmena (Alcala de Henares, Spain/Cet Alcala) also took A. Delgado to an unfinished match.

The Mustangs will travel back home to play against Cameron University. The match is scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. MT.
