Odessa, Texas - The Western New Mexico University Men's Tennis team continued its 2025 Spring Season by traveling to Odessa, Texas. On the road, they played against UT Permian Basin, losing 1-6.

In doubles, the No. 1 spot,
Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) and
Mael Houee (Rennes, France/Tennis Club de Bruz) took part in a match with J. Vega and J. Krahofer, losing 3-6. At No. 2,
Alexandre Frigout (/Ozanam/ Saint Jean) and
Birk Arwedahl (Karlskrona, Sweden/AF Chapman) had a match with G. Rudnicki and F. Kralik, losing, 4-6. No. 3 pairing of
Romain Malhomme (Marseille, France/CNED) and
Quentin Duvinage (Rasheim, France/Lycée Freppel) would lose their match to L. Nitzschke and S. Ibanez, 2-6.
As for singles, playing No. 1 today was
Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC), who lost in three sets to J. Vega, 6-2, 3-6, and 2-6. Penciled in at No. 2 was
Mael Houee (Rennes, France/Tennis Club de Bruz), who lost his match against G. Rudnicki, 6-7 with a tiebreaker of 7-4 and 3-6.
Romain Malhomme (Marseille, France/CNED) played No. 3 for the Mustangs today, who lost his match to A. Gonzales in two sets, 5-7 and 3-6.
Alexandre Frigout (/Ozanam/ Saint Jean) was slotted for No. 4 today, taking F. Kralik to two sets and winning, 6-4 and 6-4. No. 5
Birk Arwedahl (Karlskrona, Sweden/AF Chapman) rounded out today's lineup, against J. Krahofer, losing a match taken to two sets, 3-6 and 4-6. In the final spot penciled at No. 6,
Quentin Duvinage (Rasheim, France/Lycée Freppel) took part in a match against L. Nitzschke 7-5 and 2-6.

The Mustangs are now down with their season until the Lone Start Conference May 1-May 3 at Arlington, Texas.
