Denton, Texas – The Mustangs continue their 2025 season by traveling to Denton, Texas. Going against the Texas Woman's Pioneers at the Diane Baker Field, the Mustangs got swept by the Pioneers for the day. In the first game, the Mustangs lost to the Pioneers in six innings, 0-8. Their second game against the Pioneers ended in six innings with a score of 3-11.
Game One: Western New Mexico vs. Texas Woman's 0-8
Starting on the mound for the Mustangs, Labraida Tenorio (Rio Rancho, NM/Rio Rancho High School) pitched a total of five innings, facing 26 batters, and threw 104 pitches for two strikeouts. Finishing off for the Mustangs, Guilianna Wilson (Peoria, AZ/Mountain Ridge High School) threw 0.2 innings. She faced four batters and threw 17 pitches against the Pioneers.

To finish the game, Kiya Hamar (Forest Ranch, CA/Pleasant Valley High School) threw 2.1 innings, facing 18 batters, and throwing 63 pitches.
Offensively, the Mustangs had a total of 23 at-bats.
