Box Score ARLINGTON, Texas - The Western New Mexico University Men's Tennis finished up their season at the Lone Star Conference Tournament in Arlington, Texas. The Mustangs earned the eight-seed and one take on the number one-seed Midwestern State. WNMU would go down 4-0 in this one.
For doubles, No. 1 duo of
Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) and
Alexandre Frigout (/Ozanam/ St Jean) fell to Stephen Slocombe 4-6. At No. 2
Lorenzo Orellano Buratti (Acassuso, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Anibal Mensi) and
Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) dropped their match 1-6 to Germano Setti and Killian Guillou. This would clinch the doubles point for Midwestern State.
No. 3 pairing of
Mohjit Grewal (Witten, Germany) and
Romain Malhomme (/CNED) would have their match go unfinished.
In singles, No.1 Romero faced off against #38 Luiz Diaz Argente, losing 1-6, 3-6. No. 4 Lock would play his final match as a Mustang against Guillou, dropping it 0-6, 4-6. The No. 5 spot today was Orellano, being defeated to Philip Kamara 1-6, 4-6.
Frigout, Grewal and Malhomme would have their matches go unfinished.
