Box Score SILVER CITY, N.M. - The Western New Mexico University Men's Tennis hosted the Rattlers of St. Mary's on Friday afternoon for Senior Day. The Mustangs would honor senior Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS).

The Mustangs went down 2-5.

In doubles, the Mustangs would have a clean sweep. No. 1 pairing of Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) and Alexandre Frigout (/Ozanam/ St Jean) took down the Rattlers' Jake Faryniarz and Ryan Koth, 6-2. At No. 2 Lorenzo Orellano Buratti (Acassuso, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Anibal Mensi) and Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) weathered the storm of Oskar Irdoja and Alvaro Soler with a 7(7)-6(3) win. No. 3 duo of Mohjit Grewal (Witten, Germany) and Romain Malhomme (/CNED) cleaned things up with a 6-3 win over Leonardo Fabbri and Bernhard Hauer.

As for singles, No. 2 Frigout stumped Faryniarz 6-2, 6-4. 

No. 1 Romero was bested today by Soler 4-6, 2-6. Penciled in a No. 2 today was Malhomme, being defeated 0-6, 2-6 by Irdoja. Lock was No. 4 today for the Mustangs, as he took Koth to three sets before falling 6-2, 6(3)-7(7), 4-6. 

Orellano played No. 5 for the Mustangs today, going down 0-6, 4-6. Grewal rounded things out at No. 6, losing in three sets 6-2, 5-7, 5-7 to Hauer.

Doubles: 1, 3, 2
Singles: 3, 2, 5, 1, 4, 6

The Mustangs will be back in actio next Thursday for the Lone Star Conference Tournament.
