Box Score FORT SMITH, Ark. - The Western New Mexico University Men's Tennis team traveled to Arkansas Fort Smith for a match up with the Lions. The Lions defeated the Mustangs 7-0.
In doubles, the No. 1 team of
Alexandre Frigout (/Ozanam/ St Jean) and
Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) fell in heartbreaking fashion to Killian Darneaux and Anis Ramchan, 5-7. The No. 2 duo of
Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) and
Lorenzo Orellano Buratti (Acassuso, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Anibal Mensi) lost a battle 6(4)-7(7) to the Lions Juan Rosello and Juan Patino. This earned the doubles point for the Lions
As for singles, No. 1 Romero was defeated by Ramchan 2-6, 1-6. No. 2 Frigout was the only Mustangs to win a set, before going down to Rosello 7-6, 2-6, 6-10. At No. 3 Lock, was bested by the racket of Eduardo Briebesca 2-6, 1-6.Â
Orellano played No. 4 for the Mustangs, as he went down 4-6, 2-6 to Darneaux.
Mohjit Grewal (Witten, Germany) was penciled in at No. 5 for the Mustangs today, as he was unable to overcome Patino 4-6, 3-6.

The Mustangs will take on Southeastern Oklahoma State tomorrow, March 29th at 9:00 AM MT in Durant, Okla.Â
