Box Score SILVER CITY, N.M. - The Western New Mexico University Women's Tennis welcomed in the Patriots of Dallas Baptist To Town on Saturday morning. The Mustangs would drop this one, 1-6.

In doubles, No. 1 pairing of Livia Leite (Cunha-SP, Brazil/Bernardino Querido,) and Ana Sofia Montero Villegas (Caracas, Venezuela) battled hard, but fell 4-6 to Sofia Teran and Isabella Rios. The No. 2 duo of Mann-Ning Li (Converse, TX/John H. Guyer HS) and Gabriella Blumberg (Casper, WY/Kelly Walsh HS) were defeated by Madalyn Smelley and Caroline Hudson, 2-6. In the No. 3 spot, Andreea Arnautu (Laval, Quebec, Canada/College Laval) and Caini Wang (New Taipei City, Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Nangang Vocational High School) lost their battle to Sarah Castleberry and Jenna Payne, 0-6.

As for singles, No. 2 Li came out firing on all cylinders today, against her opponent Leonie Schondelmaier. Li would be victorious in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

No. 5 Blumberg fell to Teran 1-6, 1-6. Penciled in a No. 4 Montero, dropped a heated match 0-6, 2-6 to Rios. Slotted in at No. 3, Arnautu was taken down by Smelley 1-6, 3-6. Earning the No. 1 spot today was Leite, as she lost to racket of Hudson 4-6, 2-6.

Doubles: 3, 2, 1
Singles: 5, 4, 3, 1, 2

The Mustangs will be back in action on March 28th against Arkansas Fort-Smith (9:00 AM MT).
