Box Score SILVER CITY, N.M. - The Western New Mexico University Men's tennis welcomed the Patiots of UT Tyler for their first home match of the season on the WNMU Tennis Courts. The Mustangs lost to the 10th ranked team in the nation, 1-6.
In doubles, No. 2 pairing of
Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) and
Lorenzo Orellano Buratti (Acassuso, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Anibal Mensi) lost a close battle to Joaquin Bianchi and Carel Wessel, 3-6. No. 1 due of
Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) and
Alexandre Frigout (/Ozanam/ St Jean) fell in a nail bitter 6(2)-7(7) to Daniil Felker and Egor Shestakov.
As for singles, No. 4 Orellano was taken down bt the racket of Jordi Garcia 4-6, 1-6. Earning number today for the Mustangs was Romero, losing a hard fought fight to Shestakov 2-6, 3-6. Slotted in at No. 5 was
Mohjit Grewal (Witten, Germany), he fell 4-6, 3-6 to Yudai Watanabe.
Frigout played No. 2 for the Mustangs today, earning their only point of the match. He defeated Felker 7-5, 6-2. Lock was penciled in at No. 3 today, dropping a close one to Wessel 2-6, 5-7.

The Mustangs will welcome Dallas Baptist to town tomorrow with first serve at 1:00 PM MT.
