Box Score 1 DALLAS, Texas - The Western New Mexico University Men's Tennis team took part in a double header in Dallas, Texas on Friday afternoon, against Emporia State and Southern Arkansas. The Mustangs were defeated by the Hornets 2-5 in match one and 0-4 in match two by the Muleriders.

MATCH ONE (Emporia State):
 
In doubles, the No. 1 pairing of Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) and Alexandre Frigout (/Ozanam/ St Jean) beat the Hornets top duo of Mostafa Elbasnaly and Anton Sarunic in thrilling match, 7-5. No. 2 duo, Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) and Mohjit Grewal (Witten, Germany) lost at the hands of Diego Calvo and Sergio Vera 4-6. No. 3 doubles was defaulted, giving the Hornets the doubles point.

As for the Mustangs singles, No. 3 Lock would dominate Vera 6-3, 6-4. No. 5 Grewal followed in fashion with a three-set victory over Hachem Fahem, 6-3, 5-7, 10-7.

Frigout earned the No. 1 spot for the Mustangs, going down 0-6, 0-6  at the racket of Sarunic. Romero was slotted in the No. 2 spot, losing a tough one to Elbasnaly 4-6, 3-6. Lorenzo Buratti Orellano played No. 5 for WNMU today. Orellano lost his match 1-6, 0-6 to Calvo.


 
MATCH TWO (Southern Arkansas):
 
For the doubles portion, No. 2 duo of Grewal and Orellano fell 0-6 to Ole Valkyser and Matthew Tennant for the doubles point. No. 1 Lock and Frigout would go unfinished.
 
In singles, playing No. 1 today was Frigout, as he dropped his match to Walkyser 2-6, 3-6. The clinching match came down to No. 6 Orellano, going down 2-6, 3-6 to Lluc Pasqual.
 
No. 3 Lock, No.2 Romero and No. 5 Grewal's matched went unfinished.
 
The Mustangs will be back in action tomorrow against Southeastern Oklahoma State.
