Box Score 1 GLENDALE, AZ - The Western New Mexico Women's tennis team finished up their trip to Glendale, Ari. this afternoon with matches against Colorado Mesa and Ottawa University (Ari.). The Mustangs split the day, falling to Mesa 5-2 and defeating Ottawa 4-1.
MATCH ONE (MESA):
In doubles, No. 2 pairing of
Andreea Arnautu (Laval, Quebec, Canada/College Laval) and
Ana Sofia Montero Villegas () got things started with a 6-4 win over Juliana Campos and Devyn Rodrigiuez. No. 1 duo of
Mann-Ning Li (Converse, TX/John H. Guyer HS) and
Livia Leite (Cunha-SP, Brazil/Bernardino Querido,) clinched the doubles point, defeating Issy Coman and Makenna Livingston 6-2.
For singles, No. 1 Leite would earn the only point, defeating Coman 7-6 (7-3), 6-2. No. 2 Li would lose a close one at the hands of Livingston 3-6, 4-6. Playing No. 3 was Arnautu, going down fast to Rodrigiuez 0-6, 0-6. It would take Delia Maier three sets to defeat the Mustangs No. 4 Montero 3-6, 6-3, 4-6. No. 5
Gabriella Blumberg () was the final Mustang in action, as she was defeated 2-6, 3-6 by Kristen Thomas.

MATCH TWO (OTTAWA):
The Mustangs got things going early in doubles, as the No. 2 duo of Arnautu and Montero made quick work of Cassidy Clark and Jelizaveta Govrova, 6-1. No. 2 pairing of Li and Leite were able to defeat Katherine Busani and Martina Antich, 6-4. This earned the Mustangs the doubles point.
In the singles department, No. 5 Blumberg made quick work of Vanessa Gurule 6-0, 6-0. Montero, listed at No. 4 earned the next Mustang point with a with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Clark. No.1 Leite clinched the match defeating Antich 6-2, 6-3.Â
No. 2 Li and No. 3 Arnautu's matches would go unfinished.Â
