Denver, CO - The WNMU Mustangs Men's/Women's Cross Country team finishes their last meet strong at the South Central XC Regionals, in Denver, CO. The Men would run a 10K, while the women would run a 6K.
The Lady Mustangs as a team would take 21st place out of 25 teams with a total of 638 points. Individually for the women,
Aubrey Lozoya (Albuquerque, NM/Cottonwood Classic Preparatory) would cross the line for the Mustangs in 95th place. Her time would be twenty five minutes and seven seconds (25:07). Right after her is
Vanessa Dominguez (Pecos, NM/Pecos High School) crossing the line at twenty six minutes and nineteen seconds (26:19) in 130th place.
The men's running a 10K would finish 14th out of 24 schools with a total of 428 points. Individually for the men,
Aaron Perez (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) finishes his race at thirty three minutes and twenty four seconds (33:24) in the 55th spot. Next for the Mustangs would be
Jarred Baca (Las Vegas/West Las Vegas High School) with a time of thirty four minutes and seventeen seconds (34:17).
Officially done with their 2024 season, the Mustangs will continue to work hard and prepare for their next 2025 season.
