SAN MARCOS, CALIF- Both Mustangs' teams showed some strong performances this morning in San Marcos, California. Once again the men competed at the 8K distance, while the women ran at the 6K distance.

A few nationally ranked teams also performed against the Mustangs including Chico State, Cal Poly Pomona, and UC San Diego.

Back on top this week for the men was
Aaron Perez (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) as they surged through the finish line. He came in strong and placed 22
nd overall, taking home a time of 25:21.4min. This is his new season best as he improved from the last meet by 1 min and 11 sec.
Rowan Flores (Española, NM/Los Alamos HS) followed his performance with a time of 25:33.9min and a 37th overall position. This will be his new marked personal best finish of his collegiate career.

The women also produced two incredible performances this week. The first one came from Lisbet Porras who would lead the lady's team across the line. She was clocked at 22:59.5min and finished 68
th in the field, shattering her previous personal best in the process. Behind her was Aubrey Lozoya who ran a solid 23:25.5min and marked at 86
th overall. This was also a career personal best for her.

The men took home a 7th place team finish and the women finished 14th overall.

The mustangs will perform in one last post-season meet at Dallas Baptist on Oct. 7
th as they get ready for the LSC Championships in Portales, NM.
