SILVER CITY, N.M. - Western New Mexico University Athletics' Athletic Director Scott Noble, would like to announce the hiring of Josh Brown as the department's Assistant Athletic Director of Media Relations.
"We were very fortunate not having to look very far for our new assistant athletic director for sport communications and digital media," said Athletic Director Scott Noble. "Josh Brown has been part of our Mustang family the last 3 years while being contracted through Pro View Networks in Albuquerque. Josh and Pro View Networks have run the production of our Lone Star Digital Network by streaming our sport teams' home competitions and broadcasting LIVE on local television in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe markets. His professionalism, work ethic and familiarity with the inner workings our athletic department moved him to the top of our list quickly.
There is no doubt that Josh will be a valuable role in the continued success of our athletic department. We are very fortunate to have him as a member of our team."
Brown, a native New Mexican, has a background in sports broadcasting and joins the WNMU team full time after being the main producer/director for WNMU Athletics streams through contractor ProView Networks.
"I was privilege to be work with the entire WNMU Athletics staff over the past 3 years as a contractor" Brown said. "Previously working with the staff has enabled me to make a seamless transition to fulltime member of the team, and I look forward to getting to know everyone further and continuing to develop the relationships that I have made over the years."
Brown' looks to impact the athletics department with his knowledge, where he hopes to create great relationships with the athletes, coaches, faculty, and with the people of Silver City.
"I am honored to be a part of an athletic department who is making great strides to continue to grow and develop" Brown acknowledges. "My hope is to expand the exposure of each program and student-athlete at WNMU, and ensure they have the best experience a student-athlete can have."
