Lubbock, TX- The Western New Mexico Men's Tennis team traveled to Lubbock, Texas to face Lubbock Christian University. The Mustangs would fall 5-2. Â
Yu Jhe Du (New Taipei City/Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School) and Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) No.1 doubles would lose 6-3. No.2 Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) and Patricio Larrea (Ambato, Ecuador/Atenas High School) would be successful in their match winning 3-6. No.3 Paul Claussen (Balingen, Germany/Gymnasium Balingen) and Lachlan Rowing (Canberra, Australia/Finigan School of Distance Education) would fall 6-3.  Â
In the number No.4 spot Romero would come out on top 1-6, 5-7. Lock No.5 would also defeat his opponent 4-6, 4-6. Larrea in the No.1 spot losing in a close match 7-6, 6-3. No.3 Du would fall 6-2, 6-0. No. 6 Claussen losing 6-2, 6-2. Rowing No. 2 would come up short 6-3, 6-4. Â
Mustangs will continue their road trip to St. Marys University on April 15th for a start time of 8:00 AM.Â
