GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The Western New Mexico Men's Golf Team traveled to the Golf Club of Estrella to take part in the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout. The Mustangs currently sit T-3^rd at (+7), 291-292-583.

Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) leads the way T-6^th at (-3), with rounds of 72-69-141. Geary would record six birdies on the day.

T-8^th is Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary) at (-2), with a scorecard of 68-74-142. Niles would manage 10 birdies and an Eagle for round one and two.

Freshman Anthony Lara (Anthony, NM/Gadsden HS) sits T-18^th at (+2), shooting 74-72-146. Lara would acquire seven birdies on the day.

Adam Samnegard (Norrkoping, SWE/Hagagymnasiet HS/Garden City CC) sits T-50^th at (+10), carding 77-77-154. Samnegard shot four birdies and an Eagle for the day.

Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) rounds out the lineup T-64^th at (+13), with rounds of 77-80-157. Arkanath would record three birdies on the day.

Yong To Kim (Seoul, So. Korea/Colegio Han Al Americano) would golf as an individual for the Mustangs. Kim sits T-28^th at (+4), with a scorecard of 74-74-148. He would manage seven birdies on the day.

James Perry of Colorado- CO Springs sits in 1^st at (-10). Garrett Leek of Midwestern State is in 2^nd at (-6). T-3^rd at (-4) is Mason Mikeska of Midwestern State, Lukas Taggart of Colorado School of Mines and Kolton Baber of West Texas A&M.

Colorado – CO Springs leads the tournament at (-10). In 2^nd place in Midwestern State at (-6). WNMU and Colorado Mesa round out the top three at (+7).

The Mustangs will finish the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout tomorrow.
