Box Score IRVINE, CA – Raining at the Concordia-Irvine Tennis Courts, the Western New Mexico University Men's Tennis team left the match unfinished due to darkness. The score was favoring the Golden Eagles 3-1.
The two teams only played singles in the match. Playing at No. 4 singles, Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) won in three sets 2-6, 7-6, 6-3.
At No. 1 singles, Patrico Larrea lost 4-6. 6-4, 6-7. Playing at the No. 2 spot, Lachlan Rowing (Canberra, Australia/Finigan School of Distance Education) fell 6-5, 6-4. Yu Jhe Du (New Taipei City/Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School) played at the No 3 position and lost 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
Playing at the No. 5 position, Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) was down 6-5 and did not finish. Paul Claussen (Balingen, Germany/Gymnasium Balingen) played in the No. 6 spot leaving his match unfinished after a 6-4 first set loss.
The Mustangs will continue their road trip playing BIOLA at 3:00pm MDT.
