TYLER, TX – The Western New Mexico University Men's Tennis team played their second LSC Conference match to UT Tyler. The score favored the Patriots 7-0.

The Mustangs had a difficult time against the Patriots, losing the doubles point. No. 1 doubles duo, Yu Jhe Du (New Taipei City/Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School) and Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) lost 6-3. At No. 2 doubles,  Lachlan Rowing (Canberra, Australia/Finigan School of Distance Education) and Paul Claussen (Balingen, Germany/Gymnasium Balingen) fell short, 6-1. Playing at the No. 3 spot, Javier Romero (Tlalnepantla, Mexico/ETAC) and Patricio Larrea (Ambato, Ecuador/Atenas High School) were just edged out, 6-4.

At No. 4 singles, fell short 6-4, 6-4. Claussen played in the No. 6 position and lost 6-4, 6-1. At No. 2, Rowing lost in consecutive games 6-2, 6-2.

Playing at the No. 3 singles, Yu Jhe Du (New Taipei City/Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School) fell 6-2, 6-3. Playing in the No. 5 position, Brendan Lock (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne South HS) lost 6-3, 6-2. No. 1 singles player, Larrea, lost in consecutive sets at 6-1, 6-1.

The Mustangs play tomorrow, at Dallas Baptist, with first serve at 9:00am MST
