Mustangs Place 10th in the Pack Classic in Pueblo, CO

Pueblo, CO–  The Western New Mexico University Women's Golf team competed in the Pack Classic, Sunday March 20th, in a 15 team tournament at the Walking Stick Golf Course. The Mustangs went on to place 10th ending +66 to par and a total score of 642. 

Shandiin Harper (Farmington, NM/Piedra Vista HS), playing as an individual for the team, finished T-16th, ending +11 to par and a total score card of 155 (76-79). Chelsea Medina (Silver City, NM/Silver HS) finished the tournament carding 158 (79-79) and +14 to par. Close to her teammate, Amanda Portillo (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) placed 38th at the end of the tournament. Her scorecard was a total of 160 (83-77) and +16 to par. 

Finishing in T-39th, Mustang Taysea Powell (Artesia, NM/Artesia HS) shot +17 to par and a final scorecard of 161 (80-81). Mia Trousdale (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) placed T-45th shooting +19 to par, and carded 163 (82-81). Ana Valeria Enriquez (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) placed T-60th and carded 168 (86-82). 

Colorado Christian University's Faith Kilgore finished in first place shooting -2 to par and totaling 142 from the two rounds. Colorado State-Pueblo's Victoria Hart carded 146 and shot +2 to par, followed by Allison Comer from Nebraska-Kearney shooting +4 to par and carded 148. 

Nebraska - Kearney ended in 1st place shooting +31 to par with a total scorecard of 607, followed by Colorado Christian University in second place carding +34 with a total of 610. Colorado State-Pueblo ended the tournament in third place carding 621 and shot +45 to par. 

The Mustangs are back on the road April 1st- 2nd hosting the RJGA Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Arizona.
