Women's Tennis Builds On With Leite

Silver City, NMĀ - Head Women's Tennis CoachĀ Alex HuntĀ has acquired his second recruit for the Class of 21'. The native of Paraty, Brazil, Livia Leite, will be welcomed to Silver City, as a freshman in the Fall of 2021.

"Livia has some of the smoothest, most fluid strokes I've seen from any male or female player I've come in contact with. One thing I always look for is fluidity in the strokes of each player," said Hunt. "She is an experienced player, as I've seen in her extensive, excellent results throughout her junior career down in Brazil."

Leite was a two-time Next Gen Brazil Champion, being as high as ranked No. 24 in the entire county of Brazil, and No.1 in the city of Sao Paulo. Over the course of her tennis career, Leite has earned the highest universal tennis rating (UTR) of 7.30 with many wins that contained over a 7.0 UTR and a few over an 8.0 UTR.Ā

"I cannot wait to get her to WNMU, helping increase our overall talent depth, and continue to progress the women's team to meet our goals," said Hunt.
