Men's Tennis Adds Texas Product Jonathan Vega

SILVER CITY, N.M. – Head Coach Alex Hunt announces the addition of Texas native Jonathan Vega to the 2020-2021 Men's Tennis roster.

A product of North Crowley High School, Vega is a three star tennis recruit according to tennisrecruiting.net and a top-25 ranked player in the state of Texas.

His accolades include, four time high school district champion, four time regional qualifier, and USTA Texas 18s Superchamp level player.

"Jonathan is an extremely valuable addition to the Mustang Men's Tennis team. He utilizes a good mixture of finesse and power to outsmart his opponents. On-court intelligence is a huge asset to have in higher level tennis, and that is something I have seen first-hand with Jonathan's game. I am really excited to see what all he can accomplish during his time here at Western New Mexico," said Coach Hunt.

He joins Rodrigo Mere who signed earlier this spring.
