SILVER CITY, N.M. – Eleven Western New Mexico University football players will be honored before their final game as Mustangs on Saturday as WNMU will battle West Texas A&M at noon.

Larry McKenzie (San Marcos, CA/El Camino) and
German Romero-Rosales (San Diego, CA) will complete their Mustang careers this Saturday. Below is a recap of each player's season thus far.
Ayers hasn't disappointed in his final year as the All-American is leading the Lone Star Conference in several categories. He is first in receiving yards with 950, first in receiving yards per game with 95.0 and in receptions per game with 7.3. He is second in the conference in receiving touchdowns with nine and fourth in total touchdowns. Ayers has 73 receptions this season, averaging 13 yards per completion, with a long of 75 yards while starting every game this season. He has six games this season with at least 100 receiving yards, with a high of 165 coming against nationally-ranked Midwestern State when he caught 13 passes and added two touchdowns. He has four multi-touchdown games this year with a high of three coming against UT Permian Basin. His long reception of 75 yards was against Oklahoma Panhandle State.
Palacio has started nine games this season coming away with 35 tackles, 19 solo, along with an interception and five pass breakups. He tallied a high in tackles with seven against Tarleton State and also recorded his interception in that same game. Palacio posted four solo tackles twice versus Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Commerce.
Wilson has played in every game this season tallying 51 tackles, 27 solo, along with a tackle for loss, a fumble recovery, three interceptions and six pass breakups. He also returned one punt 26 yards for a touchdown against UT Permian Basin. He tallied a high in tackles with nine against Eastern N.M., a tackle for loss against Texas A&M-Commerce, a forced fumble against Tarleton State and interceptions versus Tarleton State, Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Stewart has played in every game this season accumulating 59 tackles, 27 solo, six tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup. He is second on the team in tackles and went for a high in tackles with nine against San Diego. He collected his interception versus Oklahoma Panhandle State and had 1.5 sacks against Eastern New Mexico.
Lawson has made a strong impact in his first season with the Mustangs recording 43 receptions for 502 yards and two touchdowns, with a long reception of 64 yards against Angelo State. He caught nine passes for 136 yards in that same game, both highs this year. He also returned three kickoffs for 52 yards, with a long of 22 against San Diego. Lawson added 12 punt returns for 73 yards, with a long of 14 against UT Permian Basin.
Lee has seen action in nine games this season posting 27 tackles, 10 solo, 1.5 tackles for loss and interception. He posted a high of six tackles twice against Midwestern State and Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Longville has played in every game this season at full back tallying five rushes for 12 yards and a touchdown, with a long rush of nine yards coming against Oklahoma Panhandle State. He added five catches for 73 yards and a score, going for a 33-yard reception versus UT Permian Basin.
Andrews-Worline has remained a constant along the offensive line this year starting nine games. He has helped the offense tally 4,039 total yards of offense and 32 touchdowns.

Ensign played in two games along the offensive line this season.
McKenzie has started every game along the offensive line after missing the first two games of the season. McKenzie has helped the offense tally 4,039 total yards of offense and 32 touchdowns.

WNMU forced four turnovers and committed zero for the second straight week in the close loss at Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Mustangs are 3-7 overall on the season and 3-5 in the Lone Star Conference.

DeAndre Williams (Tucson, AZ/Tucson Magnet) has rushed 105 times for 496 yards and four touchdowns. Senior

Tyler Vargas (Ramona, CA/Ramona) has done well in the kicking game this year averaging 41.2 yards per punt on 58 attempts with a long of 67, 20 inside the 20 and 12 that have traveled 50-yards plus. In kickoffs, he is averaging 57.6 yards and 15 touchbacks on 49 tries. Defensively, redshirt junior
Dominic Barry (Moreno Valley, CA/Vista Del Lago) has continued to work his way up the tackling leaderboard with 98 stops, with 37 coming solo. He also has seven tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, four passes defended and five quarterback hurries. Senior
Steven Stewart (Fremont, CA/Irvington) is second in tackles with 59. Redshirt junior

Individually, Ayers still leads the conference in receiving yards, good for 22
nd nationally, receiving yards per game (95), 29
th nationally and receptions per game (7.3), eighth nationally. He is second in receiving touchdowns, 33
rd nationally and fourth in total touchdowns. Hall leads the conference in passing yards, good for 18
th nationally, second in passing yards per game (273.9), 23
rd nationally, second and 33
rd nationally in total offense per game (279.3), second and 20
th nationally in completions per game (22.50), third in points responsible for per game (146), 39
th nationally, fourth in passing touchdowns, 27

st nationally in punting, while ranking sixth in field goals per game and seventh in field goal percentage. Davis is third and 49
th nationally in interceptions per game (0.40) and Barry ranks third and 40
th nationally in total tackles per game (9.6).
The Mustangs will battle West Texas A&M as the Buffs have had a rough past two weeks falling to Angelo State (28-6) and Texas A&M-Commerce (36-0). They are 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the conference, posting a 3-3 mark away from Canyon. The Buffs average 26.8 points and allow 27.2, while racking up 363.8 yards per game and allowing 354.0.
Devon Paye leads the rushing attack tallying 800 yards on 165 carries and five touchdowns. Ethan Brinkley and Ben Arbuckle have each seen time at quarterback with Brinkley completing 152-231 for 1,608 yards and 10 touchdowns, while Arbuckle has countered with 107-167 for 1,139 yards and 14 touchdowns. Paye also leads the team in receiving grabbing 35 passes for 335 yards and three touchdowns. Junior Pomee leads in receiving yards (463) and touchdowns (9). Daelin Young powers the defense with 69 tackles, with 52 coming solo. He also leads the team in tackles for loss (12) and sacks (4.5). Rashawn DuPree has a team-best two interceptions.
