The Mustangs made quick work of their opponents Friday in RMAC action. They swept both Nebraska-Kearney and Colorado Christian, 9-0. WNMU remains undefeated at 5-0 in RMAC action.

Early in the morning, the Mustangs took on the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers. At doubles no. 3, Henning Thrien (Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Carl Friedrick Gaus Gymnasium, Hope International University) and Yair Banuelos (Mexico City, Mexico, Universidal del Valle de Mexico, Riverside Community College) blanked Duncan and Smith, 8-0. Thrien then allowed his opponent, Conzemius, only one point in each set of their singles match. Each Mustang won in straight sets.

In the second match of the day, WNMU had little problem with the Cougars. WNMU did not give up a single game throughout the entire match. Each score in doubles was 8-0, and each score in singles was 6-0 and 6-0.

“The guys came out really strong today,” says assistant coach Carolina Hannes. “They were ready to compete and not give any chance to either of the teams.”
