The WNMU men's tennis team is not only the RMAC regular season champions, but they are also the RMAC Tournament champions with a 5-0 victory over Mesa State Saturday afternoon. Overall, the team concluded the RMAC schedule defeating every single opponent they faced.
In the finals of the tournament, the Mustangs swept the doubles (8-3, 8-4, 8-6) and then ran away with singles wins at No. 2
Henning Thrien (Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Carl Friedrick Gaus Gymnasium, Hope International University) (6-1, 6-2) and No. 3
Kyle Lynch (Albuquerque, NM, New Mexico Military Institute High School) (6-2, 6-1). The remaining competitors halted play as the match was clinched.
WNMU receives an automatic bid into NCAA Regionals but are waiting to see if they will host the event in Silver City.
