The men's tennis team left three matches unfinished against Grand Canyon University Thursday morning because they didn't need it. The Mustangs recorded a 5-1 victory over the Lopes.

Henning Thrien (Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Carl Friedrick Gaus Gymnasium, Hope International University) and Kyle Lynch (Albuquerque, NM, New Mexico Military Institute High School) were perfect on the day. Thrien, along with partner Yair Banuelos (Mexico City, Mexico/Universidal del Valle de Mexico), beat Patric Giraldi and Will Herbert at the No. 1 doubles spot, 8-4. Thrien then took on Szymon Gas in singles play. He defeated his opponent handedly with a pair of 6-2.

Lynch had an 8-3 victory in doubles with teammate Devin Stroman (Silver City, NM, Silver High School). He then nearly skunked Eric Schroeder in singles, 6-1 and 6-0.
