The men's and women's tennis teams settled for a split on Saturday verus Cal Poly Pomona. The men got the close win, 5-4; wherease, the women dropped all of their matches to the Broncos. 

On the men's side, Kyle Lynch (Albuquerque, NM, New Mexico Military Institute High School) finished the California trip going 3-1 in singles at No. 1 and 2-2 in doubles at No. 1. “Kyle has improved his game tolerance level and continues to help push the team to another level,” says head coach Erik Burton. “We changed up the doubles today to see if we could get an extra win, and we accomplished that.” 

Lynch was partnered with Emmanuel Hecher (Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Colegio Pitagoras) and won, 8-4. 

On the women's side, Nikolina Vukadin (Pale, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sredwjoskolski Centar Pale) lost the first set, 3-6, but came back in the second to take win, 6-1. In a tough tiebreaker, Vukadin could not hold on and fell, 10-8. 

Stephanie Shelton (Douglas, AZ, Douglas High School) and Emily Lampman (Kerrville, TX, Tivy High School) partnered at the No. 1 spot for the doubles competition and also came up short, 8-6.
