Metz carded low rounds of 68 twice and 71 during the middle round of his title run at the Cal Baptist University Invitational playing as an individual. His nine-under was three-strokes ahead of the field, while his 16 birdies led the field. The #9 Mustangs went on to claim the team championship by three-shots.
