Kaitlynn Barnes powered the Mustangs offense during the Desert Stinger leading the team with three home runs and seven RBI. She posted a .533 batting average and in 15 plate appearances, didn’t record a strikeout, while drawing one walk. She was solid behind the plate, tallying 14 putouts and adding an assists to just one error. She had a couple of perfect days at the plate, first against Minnesota-Duluth, she went 3-3 with a home run and two RBI and then against Upper Iowa, she collected two home runs and four RBI, while going 2-2 with three runs scored.
