Freshman Nicole Luna (Pueblo of Laguna, NM, Laguna-Acoma High School) crossed the finish line first for the Mustangs on Saturday at UC – Riverside. She finished the race in 20:38.6, placing 75th in the huge field of runners. Luna has been the Mustangs’ number one runner in all three races so far this season. Her best run came two weeks ago in El Paso when she finished in 19:26.2, good for 30th place. Luna is averaging a time of 20:16.0 so far this season.
