A former standout in the outfield, Jessica Garcia is an alumna who made her mark in center field as part of one of the Softball program's most memorable eras. As a Junior, Garcia led her team to a World Series appearance, creating a college career defined by consistency, leadership, and team success. Her individual contributions did not go unnoticed as she earned the All-Conference Honors consecutively in both her Sophomore and Junior years. These remain as some of Garcia's most cherished memories.
Beyond the field, Garcia maintained a deep connection to athletics. During her time as a student, she also worked in Public Information and in Athletics.
Garcia graduated in 2007 with a degree in Physical Education and has since dedicated 18 years to education. Currently, she serves as a special education teacher at Snell Middle School, with a commitment to student development and mentorship.
Coaching has also allowed her to stay closely connected to softball, and at the high school level, she has built a championship resume with the Cobre High School District, leading her team to state title wins, and she is setting her sights on the third. Her success as a coach reflects the same principles that defined her playing career: discipline, teamwork, and leadership.
From center field to the classroom and the championship sidelines, her journey embodies the lasting impact of athletics – where lessons learned as a student-athlete continue to shape lives and communities long after graduation.
