Josefina Bailetti (Pergamino, Buenos Aires, Argentina) continued her excellent form, winning both of her matches 6-1, 6-3 and 7-5, 6-0. Nikoletta Pytel (Warsaw, Poland) earned a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory.

Lucia Carmena (Alcala de Henares, Spain/Cet Alcala) rolled past her match with 6-4, 6-2. Her second match favored her opponent, 1-6, 3-6. Xaviera Melgar (Tacna, Peru) fought hard in the first match after coming up short in her first game 4-6, then won the next two games, 7-5, 10-5. Her second match didn't favor her as she lost 0-6, 0-6.

Eva Guta (Bucharest, Romania) battled but dropped her first game 3-6, but prevailed in the second game with a 5-7, before eventually falling in the tie-breaker, 10-5. In her second match, she was defeated 1-6, 4-6.

Bailetti and Guta were paired together, winning 6-2.
