Mustangs Drop Both to the Rattlers

San Antonio, Texas – The Mustangs continue their 2025 season traveling to San Antonio, Texas. Going against the St. Mary's University Rattlers at The Park at St. Mary's, the Mustangs lost in seven innings during the first game 0-5. Their second game against St. Mary's ended in seven innings with a score of 1-6.

Game One: Western New Mexico vs. St. Mary's University 0-5

Starting on the mound for the Mustangs, Labraida Tenorio (Rio Rancho, NM/Rio Rancho High School) who pitched a total of three innings, facing 16 batters. She earned two strikeouts and threw 54 pitches. Coming in to help the Mustangs, Madison Kloepper (Llano, TX/Llano High School) pitched one inning facing seven batters and earning one strikeout. In total, she threw 35 pitches. Ending the game, Haiven Schoolcraft (Carlsbad, NM/Carlsbad High School) threw two innings for the Mustangs. She faces seven batters and threw 27 pitches against the Rattlers.

As the relief pitcher, Alixe De Anda (Queen Creek, AZ/Red Mountain High School) made an appearance for two innings facing 11 batters with 42 pitches and two strikeouts.

Offensively, the Mustangs had a total of 24 at-bats. They earned one run with Addisen Byers (Albuquerque, NM/La Cueva High School) crossing the plate for the Mustangs. Addisen Byers (Albuquerque, NM/La Cueva High School) made an explosion for the Mustangs with a homerun in the second inning.
