Silver City, New Mexico - The 2024 Volleyball season continued with the Western New Mexico Mustangs. In their second home game of the season, they played Eastern New Mexico University and won the match 3-0 to the Greyhounds.
ENMU:
Jéssica Sales led the offense for the Mustangs with 15 kills.
Eimaya Medina (Las Cruces, NM/Centennial High School) would spread the ball around the court nicely with 34 assists.
Lilouann Bechec (Cannes, France) would carry the team with two aces.
The back row of the Mustangs had a busy game as

Jazmyne Walker (Las Vegas, NV/Legacy High School) and
Carley Deck (Tucson, AZ/Tanque Verde High School) would lead the team with four block assists each for the Mustangs.
Set 1
The Mustangs and the Greyhounds would battle neck and neck tying it at 18-18. The Mustangs soon pull ahead and win the set 25-22.
Greyhounds 0, Mustangs 1.
Set 2
In set two, the Mustangs continue to battle and keep the score close, tying at 10-10. The Mustangs will push and get ahead in the set at 21-17. Using their momentum, the Mustangs win the second set 25-22.
Greyhounds 0, Mustangs 2.
Set 3
Pushing into the third set, the Greyhounds pull ahead 5-1. After a back and forth battle, the Mustangs pull ahead at 23-23. Going into extra points the Mustangs win the third set and the entire match at 26-24.
Greyhounds 0, Mustangs 3.
Mustang Volleyball will continue onto their next journey on October 4, 2024, against Texas A&M International in Laredo, Texas.
