Wichita, Texas - The 2024 Volleyball season continued today for the Western New Mexico Mustangs. They would finish off the second day of the LSC Crossover with one match against Midwestern St. University. Western's Mustangs would battle tough with each of the sets but would ultimately fall 3-0.

Jayden Hughes (High Rolls, NM/Cloudcroft High School) led the offense for the Mustangs with 9 kills.
Eimaya Medina (Las Cruces, NM/Centennial High School) would spread the ball around the court nicely with 15 assists.
Eimaya Medina (Las Cruces, NM/Centennial High School) would end up being the only player to end the game with a service ace with one on the day.

Lilouann Bechec (Cannes, France) would lead the team in digs with 14.
Jade Rampton (Nelson, New Zealand/Shanghai American School) ended the game with the most block assists recording a total of 3 match's end.Â

Midwestern would hold a steady lead and go on to win the first set 25-17, putting Western at an early deficit.

Set 2
Western starts out the set well taking an early lead that maxed out at 6 points. Midwestern would go on to make a comeback that would land them the win with a score of 25-20.

Set 3
Midwestern wasted no time going up big in the 3rd set. Western couldn't gain the momentum necessary to make a comeback and would eventually fall for a final time in the match 25-11, bringing the set count to a final 3-0.
