Irvine, CA- The Mustang Track Teams returned to Arizona this week to compete at the Mesa Invite, hosted by Mesa Community College.

The Mustangs continue to flourish this year as more Mustangs continue to break records this reason, along with several season bests.

Opening up the meet today was the Mustang's Javelin team who had spectacular marks. Leading WNMU in the furthest distance was Kiana Ortiz (Tucson, AZ/Palo Verde HS), who currently sits at 3rd in the conference. She finished with yet another personal best and new school record at 39.57m to maintain her LSC performance position and placed 5th in the meet. 

Also with an excellent finish from the women's throwing team was Victoria Baca (Deming, NM/Deming HS), who broke the school record in Shot Put a second time this season with a mark of 10.95m.

For the men's throwing team, Devin Graham was this week's top thrower as he earned a mark of 12.02m in Shot Put, jumping eight spots on the LSC performance list.
