Four Players Score in Double Figures

WICHITA, TX – The battle of the Mustangs collided again this season as WNMU took on Midwestern State in Wichita, TX today. WNMU would take a second loss to Midwestern this season 70-86.

Four WNMU players were able to score in double figures before the sound of the final buzzer. Combining for 44 points, Tanner Vogel (Stratham, Australia/Georgiana Molloy Anglican School)(12), Cortaviaus Seales (Rock Island, IL/North Scott High School) (11), Jordan Williams (Pensacola, FL/J. M. Tate High School)(11), and Nik Atanasovs (Riga, Latvia/Vidusskloa)(10) each found ways to drive to the hole.

Seales played well all around as he finished with 3 steals, 4 assists, and 2 defensive boards.
WNMU cleaned the glass 44 times this game with leading rebounder, Vogel, who had 11 of his own which earned him a Double-double. This was his first of the season He also picked up a block in the second half of the game.

WNMU closed out the lead from Midwestern with 3 minutes left in the first half and trailed only by 4. They allowed Midwestern to go on a 9-0 run and finish the first half by 10 points. Again, they closed out the lead with nearly 10min left to play, but would ultimately give Midwestern State another chance to stretch their point margin.Â

Looking to head back to Texas, WNMU will challenge Lubbock Christian this Thursday in Lubbock, TX at 6:30PM MT. They face the following opponent, West Texas A&M, on Saturday in Canyon, TX at 2PM MT
