Mustangs Remain in Losing Slump to Cameron Aggies

Silver City, NM – The Mustangs continued their losing drought earlier today after allowing Cameron Aggies to score 51 points and only answering with 42 points.

While Brooke Rodgers (Phoenix, Arizona/Cactus Shadows High School) may have struggled to put up any points on Thursday, she did not seem to be fazed today. Shooting 5-9 on FGs and 2-3 on FTs, she comes off the court with the highest scoring performance of 12. She and Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) also led the team in boards as each of them shared 9 of their own.

6 more turnovers and shooting at 4% lower is what prevented WNMU from taking the victory to the Aggies.

The Mustangs could not find a bucket in the first Quarter as WNMU scored a team's season low in a single quarter of 3 points total, while letting the Aggies take a 9 point lead.

From there, the Aggies ran away with the win as they outscored the Mustangs in Quarter 2 as well.

The Mustangs played the 2nd half much stronger as they outscored Cameron by 2 in the 3rd Quarter of the game and put up 14 points in the final minutes of play.

WNMU will stay in Silver City this following week and look to end their losing streak on Thursday to West Texas A&M at 5:30PM
